Sometimes life looks fine from the outside, but inside, something no longer feels right.
You are functioning, delivering, managing, and keeping everything together. You are good at what you do. But beneath that competence, there may be restlessness, exhaustion, or the quiet sense that you have drifted away from yourself. Coaching offers a space to stop, listen inward, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. Coaching is not about becoming a better-functioning version of yourself. It is about coming back into contact with the person underneath.
Coaching & Mediation in Hamburg
Sometimes you need space to hear yourself more clearly. Sometimes you need a way to hear each other again. Through coaching and mediation, I offer both a place to pause, understand what matters, and find a way forward. Whether you come on your own or together with someone else, we begin with where you are.
Coaching: A space to figure things out.
-
I support people who are at a professional or personal crossroads, especially when the next step is not yet clear. This may include:
Career change and professional reorientation,
Loss of motivation or meaning,
Stress, overload, and emotional exhaustion,
Inner conflict and self-doubt.
-
I do not offer ready-made answers. I help you understand what is really going on beneath the surface, and find next steps that are truly your own. My work draws on several evidence-based psychological perspectives:
Systemic: I look at the whole picture, not just you as an individual, but also the relationships, dynamics, and patterns in your environment that shape your situation.
Cognitive-behavioral: Together we identify thought patterns that may be holding you back, and explore how to shift them.
Humanistic: Empathy, respect, and genuine care are at the heart of my work. I believe in your capacity for growth.
Communicative: I help you become more aware of how perception, emotions, and relational dynamics influence your interactions and decisions.
-
I work especially well with people who have been carrying responsibility for a long time, people who are capable, thoughtful, and outwardly successful, but inwardly tired, uncertain, or no longer fully connected to what they do.
You may feel that something has to change, even if you cannot yet say exactly what. You may be longing for clarity, direction, or simply the feeling of being more fully yourself again.
-
Coaching cannot remove every difficulty from life. But it can help you slow down enough to see more clearly. It can help you:
Understand what is draining your energy,
Reconnect with your values and needs,
Recognize patterns that keep repeating,
Make decisions with greater inner clarity,
Find realistic next steps, and move toward a life that feels more honest and more your own.

Mediation: A way back into conversation.
Some conflicts leave you feeling unheard, stuck, or unsure how to take the next step. You may have tried to talk things through, only to find yourselves having the same conversation again.
Mediation offers a different way forward. As your mediator, I create a space where everyone involved can speak openly and be heard. I do not take sides or decide who is right. I help you understand what matters to each of you and explore solutions you can both get behind.
-
We begin by clarifying what each person hopes to resolve. In our conversations, we look beyond fixed positions to the concerns and needs underneath them. From there, you develop your own way forward, at a pace that works for everyone involved.
Mediation can help with conflicts at work, between business partners, in teams, or in personal relationships. You do not need to arrive with a solution. A willingness to talk is enough to begin.

Mediation is for people who are caught in a conflict and want to find a way forward together. You might be business partners struggling to make decisions, colleagues whose working relationship has become strained, or family members having the same painful conversation again and again. You do not need to agree on what happened or know how to solve it. What matters is that everyone involved is willing to take part in a conversation.
-
I believe people deserve a space to find clarity, especially when a situation feels difficult or conversations have broken down. My role is to guide the process with care and fairness, so that each person has the chance to be heard. The decisions remain yours.
-
If the other person cannot or does not want to take part yet, you do not have to wait to find your own way forward. Through conflict coaching or a one-party-mediation session, we can explore your situation and consider your next steps.

If a conflict is weighing on you, let’s talk. In a free introductory conversation, we can explore your situation and see whether mediation is the right fit. Feel free to drop me a line at mail@linorussell.de

Forms of third-party conflict resolution have existed in many cultures for centuries. Modern mediation developed more formally in the United States during the 1970s, when its use expanded beyond labour disputes into communities, families and other settings. At its heart is a simple idea: the people involved in a conflict should have a say in finding their own way forward.
-
The key difference is who decides the outcome. In mediation, a mediator helps the people in conflict talk, understand each other’s concerns and work towards an agreement. The mediator does not decide for them. In arbitration, an arbitrator hears both sides and makes a decision, which is generally binding.
About me
As a director, my work has always been about bringing out the best in people, in front of and behind the camera. The best results come from collaboration at eye level. That is what I learned over the course of my career. And it is what led me to become a coach and mediator.
As a commercial director, I have worked as a creative partner for marketing teams across Europe, the US, and Asia, with mid-sized companies and global automotive brands alike. The patterns repeat themselves. I know the pressure, the uncertainty, and the frustration that people in organisations carry.
As a coach and Mediatior, I bring that experience into the room with you. I understand corporate cultures, recognise dynamics, and know from the inside how much genuine motivation matters. I help you identify your strengths and use them with intention, at work and beyond.
Coaching is often seen as something for those who can afford it, or who hold an "important" position. I see it differently.
Anyone navigating a difficult moment, professionally or personally, deserves a space to gain perspective, find clarity, and move forward. Regardless of role, title, or background.
I am a certified Business Coach and Mediator and a certified member of the German Society for Coaching and Training (dvct).
You don't have to have it all figured out to get in touch.
